Ben Franklin International School: K-12, Civic
Learning environments are the bedrock of our future and the garden from which ideas are born.
Set into the tree-lined hillsides above Barcelona, this work was developed in collaboration with H2L2’s new campus master plan.
The facility is conceived as the heart of a K–12 campus: high school, administration, library, and auditorium gathered in one building.
The concept is a state-of-the-art school that blends urban contemporary design with natural materials drawn from the surrounding wooded landscape.
Form, proportion, and site context hold the hillside, the trees, and the academic program in balance—a secure, welcoming center for students and faculty, and a clear architectural identity for the campus.
