Emmerling Recreation Center: Civic, Educational, Municipal Services
A small, positive contribtion to the community can unite families and change lives.
A long-standing need for indoor recreation across the Allegheny Valley communities is ready to become a destination.
Developed through a collaborative programming and design process with local recreational leagues, the municipality, and residents, this investor and feasibility package sets the stage for a 75,000-square-foot, high-performance facility. Tournament-ready multi-use courts, a café, meeting rooms, and educational classrooms come together in one place—built to host play, gathering, and learning year-round.
The design is conceived as a sustainable, self-supporting activity hub: beautiful, functional, and built to last. It is intended to lift everyday quality of life for local families while strengthening the regional economy through events, programs, and community use.
Estimated construction cost: $10 million. Funding model: grassroots campaign.
Sakoian International brings holistic design, site-responsive planning, and a transparent, approachable partnership to projects that turn community ambition into architecture that performs.
